About Seasonal & Holiday Prerolls
The trick with seasonal prerolls is getting them to switch on and off by themselves, because nobody remembers to take the Christmas intro down until March. On Jellyfin, Local Intros has a Current Date rule that plays an intro only between two dates you pick. Plex's preroll field has no scheduling, but free tools like Preroll Plus and NeXroll can swap prerolls by date for you. NeXroll works with Jellyfin and Emby too.
Or just swap them by hand on December 1st. That works fine, and it's what most people actually do.
If you share your server with family, a holiday intro is a nice little surprise the first time someone presses play in December. Just keep it short, since it'll play before every movie for a month.
